Those would put a smile on any fisherman's face. Great job.

There are multiple riprap locations; what area is this? (not looking for specific hot-spots, just trying to get a general idea)

Thanks!

@daCoach:
honestly, anywhere there are rocks in at least 6 feet of water can be holding Smallies. They are anywhere from Montrose (Personally haven't fished north of montrose) down to Indiana. I would recommend google maps > satellite view, and scan the shoreline for the rock deposits / weedlines and take your pick.
31st street, Shedd, etc....it seems to get better the further south you get. The seawalls on the southside are holding some bigguns.

Thanks, PoWop, I kinda figured that, I was responding to spindoctor's reference to "that area" as an implication to some more specific area.

I hear what you're saying about further south, I've fished smallies out of Pastrick with a fair degree of success, was just wondering whether there was some other particular area to check out. I've never launched our of the downtown area, just Waukegan & Lake Forest in IL, and Pastrick in IN. I have to find some time to get out there and do some scouting, too bad work has that habit of getting in the way! Thanks for the feedback!

BTW, nice fish you caught there!
