It's still early I believe. I friend of mine caught one fat coho powerlining in 5 hrs of fishing. For once I can't wait for valentine's day! :D

I was out floating shrimp and spinning and not even a bump in 5 hours. Tried at 31st street, Diversey and then finally up at Montrose.

Ive heard the more experienced shore fisherman mention a "magic" water temp. Once the shoreline hits a specific temp, the fun begins, usually on the southside first, then slowly migrates north.

Can anyone share ideas o the preferred temp to begin??
