Has anyone ever used an air tank instead of a fire style tank? I found an air tank that I can fill myself because it has a Schrader valve right on it. They have one at Harbor freight for under $30.00 then I just have to get my connectors. The $30.00 one has a PSI limit of 200. What kind of PSI do you guys get out of the standard size fire tank?

Well I can get a bigger air tank, no problem. What do the fire extinguishers shoot at? And what are guys paying to get their tanks filled?

See Shaguna for a tank. I think he's selling the much lighter aluminium. He has a few right now. I believe the CO2 is under 850 lbs of pressure. I just had my 1974 steel tank certified and refilled for $32 at U S Fife and Safety 6542 N Milwaukee Ave. Refills are $10 for small, $15 for large. $22 to certify. Good Luck

Thanks Jeff, I commented on a post he made. I am sure he will reach out. I am hoping to have something I can re-fill my self. How many shots do you get out of a small tank?

I use a 5lb CO2 fire extinguisher. I am on my third year using it. I would say I pline 10-15 times a year and shoot out twice each time. I just weighed mine, and it is still half full. So basically, you get quite a lot of shots. I would guess 80+.
