Gonna give it another shot with my old fishing bud from work. Might be the last soft water mission.

Well, we're back ! Cold wind on the back of my neck. Tieing to docks and trees because the anchors won't hold. Can you tell where we are? We did manage to turn the trip in our favor by moving and searching. We found 'em here and there but the mainstay was trees and brush. Some times we tried a favorite spot that would produce but mostly with throw backs. Once again we had a 400 fish trip but 3/4 were undersize. We caught a few Stripers to add to the mix and John M caught a bully of a Rock Bass/ Warmouth???? This White model Spotty wasn't a throw back. A nice 12 in. it was. My Old Pal John M. got his fair share as well. Here's a few nice ones from day one's catch of about 22 keepers. Pal John M. shows off some of day two's catch. We had a heck of a time duckin and dodging the wind gusts but managed a steady catch including this surprise in 2ft of water near the "trailer court". A guesstimate between 8-10 lbs on ultralite & #4 test. He was released to give someone else a thrill someday. We had a mess of spots to clean as day two came to a close. Day Two's Keepers Anticipation of a better day on Wed. had us sleeping fast to bring the dawn. Day three was sunny and calm in the am but started to bluster around noonish. We plied the trees with not much luck and the docks weren't much better. What is this??? Trade off a nice day for no fish???? Nah! We kept movin' and found some nicer fish this day. Our last stop got me 5 10+ spots and One 11. Day three's "Keepers" We got the GDNII on the trailer while the sun was still up. Got most of our goods packed and ready to roll in the am. With the days catch cleaned, sealed and in the freezer, we had a soup and sandwich supper and declared it one of the best trips to lake Sara in a while. At 08:00 it was so long to Bobbie & Tony and Lake Sara 'till next Spring. We put a lot of borderline Crappies back in the water for next year's graduating class. I dropped the boat off at Calumet Marine on the way home. I know Frank will give the Hondas a good once over before I put them to bed for the winter. Anyone heard any ice reports???????

Looks kinda chilly. I'll bet it was with that barn door wide open. Nice job.

Thanks everyone. We sure had a great time. Here's a better shot of that Kitty Cat without my barn door staring at you.
