Met a couple guys from another forum for some fishing at Lake Evergreen. I decided to spend the weekend camping/fishing. Camped at one of the primitive sites where I could beach my boat. It was either use the boat or walk about a mile with everything. My campsite was on a point, it was awwesome.

My son came out Saturday morning and we fished all day, then we had a fish, french fries, and corn on teh cob over an open campfire. Cooked the fish and french fries in teh dutch oven, I brought my tri-pod to suspend the dutch oven over the campfire, and the corn was soaked then wrapped in foil and cooked ont eh coals. Food was awesome!

Couldn't catch a Bass to save my life, but we caught them Crappie. Won $50 for most weight in the panfish division, best of 3 fish.

had so much fun, Im going back in 3 weeks.

oh and if you guys make it down there again and go camping you may want to stop at the local "guys" establishment called Kappa Cabanna just off the Kappa exit on 51. great place to spend some $1 bills.

lol, no fire watch in that sense of the word.

Sept 24th-26th.
Im getting stoked now.

I have another buddy (Dan) tentatively coming too. If you want to bring someone that's cool too. The more the merrier. Plenty of room in camp for 2 big tents and my dining fly, and plenty of room to beach boats. If its jsut the 3-4 of us we can all fit in my tent, or Dan has a bigger one he could bring. If it is the three of us, mind if we use your boat? Mines a little small for 3, can be done if needed, one of us will have to sit on the livewell.

This is a primative site and the best way to get there is via boat.

TEntative menu.
Friday night dinner- MRE's

Sat dinenr- fish fry with potatoes, and corn on the cob.

your funny. :bigyuck
Yea, Im looking forward to this trip.

For the rest of you the back story goes like this.
Marine Corp jungle Warfare Training in Panama right after Grenada.
I sliced my knee cap open with a Machette while busting trail.
Spent the night under the Panamanian sky watching the bats.
Next day got hauled out 3 miles through thick rough junlge terrain on a stretcher to the nearest road.
Spent the next 6 weeks on crutches.

MikeF,

Been packing camping gear for a long time.
I love to go camping, the more primative the better. Although on car camping trips I do know how to do it up right. :drink
