I spent the last weekend at my club and managed to get out almost all day long on Saturday (outside of a quick jaunt to the Kank where I got skunked). I think Any Luc has spurred me to key in on the panfish after seeing his results over the last few years. So off to my icefishing haunts to see what was happening there. Rigged up with a medium light rod, 6lb test and a small pink/white mini-mite tipped with a waxie, it didnt take too long to find the party. Using the count down method, I landed (all from one general area) largemouth, bluegill, catfish, rock bass, perch and red ear sunfish. One red ear was pushing 10", she was a beaut. Fun day on the lake for sure! Dont forget to spend some cash at the bait shop on Lorenzo Rd, they carry everything (catalpa worms anybody??) and are real nice people as well.

Exit west bound on Lorenzo from I-55, a mile or two down the road, just over the tracks. I forget the name, maybe Anglers Haven??

FYI, due to the construction on 55 right now, you can not get northbound on 55 from Lorenzo....
