Tomorrow and "old" friend of mine and i are heading out to the strip mines in search of walleyes crappie and bass. Prob just minnows and jigs. Any other ice out tips?

I'm not very good at walleye in pits by any means, but the few i've gotten seem to like rock cover and shallower water(for a pit) and early spring I would look for a dark bottom. You also have to be a ninja when coming in, long casts and move quite. Good luck :)

Along with the darker bottom and rock areas, focus on the areas that have springs if you know where they are at. You will have warmer water.
