I was just wondering if anyone has been getting any crappie or white bass in shallow yet. I always make it down to Mattoon for Thanksgiving and my dad and I get over to Shelbyville to try the docks for the crappie. Hope they are in this year.

You should be able to find some crappie if theres brush piles off the docks. The white bass never really seemed to have come in shallow in large numbers this year.

For good info on lake shelbyville check out steve welch's web site,.... lake shelbyville guide....with out the spaces. I don't have enough posts to send a link, so just add the www. and .com, check out his past articles even from a couple of years ago. or better yet hire him for a day, well worth the $250.00 for 2 people, includes cleaned fish. I hired him twice in '08 and had great success.
