Fished Winnebago Saturday with my wife. Launched out of grundman and fished near reefs trolling flicker shads.
4 walleye
3 crappie
2 drum
1 perch

Crappie and perch we're good size, but the walleye we're all under 16. I guess I needed to go out to the deeper flats for the bigger ones, but we only had 4 hours to fish...so didnt want to leave fish to find fish.

Water temps at 81-83 degrees. Lots of algae and lots of huge pelicans.

I was only boat trolling. Everyone else was anchored directly on the reefs and fishing bobbers, I presume for crappie.

Lake is beautiful, gonna try and go back in the fall.

Thanks for the report! I love that lake also! How big were the sheep heads?
There is a sheephead tournament next week I'm looking for the 10lbs, wondering if trolling would be better for the big ones I anchor and put softshells on. The bottom.

The sheep head we caught were probably 3 lbs. There were definitely some 10s around. Every 5 mins or so you would hear/see a huge splash. We fished Stevens reef and little blackbird reef mostly. Flicker shads were ticking bottom when we caught most if the fish. Those sheep head put up a good night.
