Wondering what everyone's plans are considering the Wolf River is Flooded. A majority of the piers are underwater.
A few reports are stating the WB are starting, water clarity is surprisingly decent.
I'm considering going up there next week

:thanks

They started last week. Should be great this coming week. Heard the walleye had picked up, leaving the marshes.

Water is still at flood stage up (might be hard to launch a boat up there with some of the launches being underwater) there but is slowly going down. Should be going down there next Friday going out of Chico's.

Lost the campsite I had due to high water for next week.
Find a launch close to where you plan to fish,NO Wake for the entire river. Bring boots to help launch your boat. With high water and a late season , your gonna have to work for them

I'm supposed to go up next Friday but may have to go to Dallas on business. Depending on the river and the bite I may try to get out of it!

Fishing was slow for most this past weekend. We did best at mouth of the Rat River using pink/purple fly on three way with 3/4 oz. weights. River looked to have peaked Saturday night and had fallen about 4 -5 inches by Monday noon. Fishing should be great this weekend and following week or two.

Just got back, sunburn and had fun.
Water temp.-66 degree's.Still no wake but water level dropping about 1 inch each day, good.
Late run this year, fish a still moving in.
Found fish around the mouth of poygan and rat river, all males and milting.Constant run and move to catch fish. 3 way with fly, jig, sonar, spinner, produced fish.
Minnow and Shiner produced the same result.
Fishing should only get better if weather cooperates.
Side note-enjoyed a lunch at Hahn's,the food was very good but there Bloody Mary was not good, found much better at Freemont hotel and Red Banks-

Also add,the walleye, northern pike and catfish are going on as well.If the white bass are not cooperating, have fun targeting these fish-
