Hope ya get into 'em. I was supposed to go along but family matters had to come first. I've never been there but am planning on going in the spring with Jeff. Tight lines.

I just spoke to my friends who fished last weekend at the Huron river and caught well over 21 walleye 5lbs to 11lbs. They were fishing with our good friend Greg Warsow of Fish-Wars charters and he was targeting water 20ft down in 40fow. I know that sounds crazy but they were consistently catching walleye running reef runners deep divers 40ft to 100ft back on the line counter.....no weights. Few of the walleye caught were near the bottom and most of the fisherman at the dock targeting near the bottom had caught very few walleye. What a strange year this has been for fishing!!!! Here's some info for depths: http://www.michigan-sportsman.com/forum ... p?t=189657Greg Warsow Fish-Wars Charters http://www.michigan-fish-wars.com/index.htm

Greg did exactly that and he also helped us out with way points and advice at the hotel and by radio and cell phone. He is a class act as he just met my buddy a few days before and put him on the fish also. The walleye 101 chatter on the radio was all in codes and got real old real fast. I'd go out with Greg in a heartbeat if I went out there again.

Yeah I really like Greg, and he has always put us on fish on the Detroit side of Lake Erie. He was nice enough to go out with me on my boat last month when we were perch fishing at Gilbraltar, MI and I know we caught over 250 perch in one day. Greg is a crafty charter captain and always gives tips to catching perch, walleye, and smallmouth if you ask him. In fact as soon as he had targeted the walleye in the upper half of water last week he started calling all his friends, and anyone who asked, on what he was doing to help them catch fish.
