Hey Mark, a quick Google shows the current record for Freshwater Drum in Ontario is 20.60 lbs. Your friend smashed that by a bunch............murph810

Whoa! I caught one probably about 7 years ago on the Calumet River that I guessed to go close to 20lbs, which was the biggest I've ever seen until this one. What a beast of a fish!!!

I was just looking at a pic of a much, much smaller sheephead and it looks nothing like this one. The color of the small one is silvery (as I am used to seeing) and the lateral line on the small one is much more pronounced as well as the humped back. Also, the mouth on this one is more of a predator fish than pointed down (like the small one) used for feeding off the bottom.

Go to the Illinois\Seneca 10-24-10 thread and look at the drum (sheephead) on that page with the pronounced hump and downward mouth.
