Fished williams bay from 1pm-sun down and caught one 24inch + northern pike, and a very nice small mouth bass easily 4lbs. Bass was caught in a jig head with a golden roach on the bottom 12-17ft of water/near weed line. The northern was caught on a crawler harness with a worm in about 17ft-20ft around dusk. Had to work our way through tons of baby perch, but man was it worth it.

Next time use the baby perch for bait.

How was the boat traffic out there? Was thinking this weekend might be a perfect time to start hitting Geneva. Really hoping for some cooler weather!

I fished Geneva on Sunday. Stayed in Geneva Bay mostly in 10-15FOW. Did pretty well on the perch. Got some nice 13 inchers, I would consider them jumbos. All caught from 2-5pm drop shotting a large fathead. They were hammering the bait, almost jerked the rod out of my hand a couple of times. Also got tons of small ones and many rockies.

this is the time of year the north shore flats produce some monster northern on trolled shad raps and dt's, work the stuffings out of 10ft to the drop off all the way to the narrows and when your east enough shoot across and fish the deep weed line in front of the golf course ive pulled some very large fish there also. on the way in late i have had some great luck fishing the west point of williams bay from the drop off in to the summer camp, depth may vary but ive done well under 15 ft . dont be afraid to troll in between the sail boats there are usually a walleye or 2 hidding there late.
