As I mentioned in an earlier post I went to the Preserve (Blackwell) to get in a little fishing. When I arrived I noticed a park police officer and a couple of ladies standing next to a car with a broken drivers side window. Seems that someone had broken into the car and had stolen one of the ladies purses. What was crazy is that the car was parked in a very open spot right on the main road. Whoever broke into it has some big ones. In talking to the cop he mentions that they have been getting a big increase in cars being broken into in the preserves. Be careful what you leave laying around and keep an eye out for suspicous activity. He said they are getting an average of 5 or so a week! :shock

5 or so a week???

Considering that the local FP lives around the corner I am stumped. Thanks for the heads up.

Yep 5 that's what the guy said. This car was in like the second parking spot facing the little pond. Right up front with the drivers side facing Butterfield. All of this AND they are working on the catch n release pond over there. Must be 4 or 5 DFP trucks coming through an hour.

what I would do is set up a car with a nice purse sitting in the seat, with some visible cash in it. Then I would set up in a blind and wait. And the rest............ well I think you guys know what you do when you see what your after in your blind.

You would think it not be too hard to catch thes dumb arses. It probabley doesn't take them longer than ten seconds once they find a car with something they like. Smash, grab and get in the go car.
My freind lost his radar detector, three months ago, at the York Town Movie theater with a smash and grab, talk about a high traffic area and balls. Could be the same team. What comes around goes around, they will get their reward.
What the woman has to worry about is they have all her info.
Don't leave valubles in plain sight. If you see something get a license plate number, they gotta have a go car.
