I have never caught a Northern so I made an early a.m. trip with the Boozer since those are his stomping grounds and he said he has caught them there before. I missed quite a few, including the fish of the day a 20+ incher but landed me a couple. Let me tell you I can't wait for the U.P. Gents so I can get one with some super size to it and look out Slick Willy I got the magic bait for them too!!

Egyptian Fishing Club doin work as usual, and As first mate of the smashing gutz my first duty was to not make a jerk outta myself by recommending powderhorn to the captain.......I was very successful with that! I've caught them before through many trials and tribulations so I knew we had the right tactics it was just a matter of the fish cooperating which they did. And most of all I was glad to see capt SG land not only his first northern but many more after, great day even with the wind changes. Little more size to them wouldhave been nice but they all fought like they were bigger, except for Capt's first one which he reeled in like he was bringing in a small coho skippin up to the back of a charter boat. The shore fisherman didn't have luck and came to greet us after we docked to see the fish but we practiced cpr with all of them

Been killing them there this year!! That is a great little lake. A hidden gem. I was told that we can no longer wade the lake which will really suck because that was all we have been doing this year so far. Did you go to the far back side if the lake where it opens up to another lake? Good fishing back there too!

The back lake is listed as a preserve and listed as no fishing. Just to let you know.

Yeah the back area is off limits and you also can't even have a gas motor on your boat. There are signs saying that both are Strictly Prohibited. Thanks
