Those are very good suggestions. We just want to have a good time and enjoy the ice fishing with other guys who feel the same

dajord wrote: A get together after the season for awards and PARTY! Sounds good..... When I first posted this idea...it was just to see if it was worth putting time in to set up. The responses and interest has been awesome. I don't like slowly leaking things out but don't want guys' replies to go unanswered so here is lil more info. There will be an annual fee of $15. This ensures monies for plaques/hoodies and awards banquet. The fee for league will be $10 per outing. This is also not set in stone. So let me know what you guys think please. There will be extra bonus prizes and want to stress that this is all in the name of fun.

I will have a rough draft in the next couple weeks. Then the guys that are interested can have their say and we will polish it up.
Final draft will be released end of Sept.

I think you might have to keep weigh in simple. Just a couple fish...big gill and big crappie or whatever species you target. I have some locations to consider.

I like the idea of a big fish tourney. Start throwing out name/lakes that you guys would like to fish. We need north, west, south and if enough guys from city get involved make an east division.

Ok so I would not like to be in a east division!... I mean it sounds possible however the action would be MUCH better up north. I say the Chain o Lakes as far as the north division. Mineola Bay, Pistakee, Marie, Long, t channel.... All places listed would be great places with easy access and bait near by!!!

i would also agree with being on the one for the fox chain. would long lake be considerd the chain? i know squaw creek goes threw but also there is the locks that seperate it from connecting.

All requests for lakes will be taken in serious consideration and then in future, a poll will be put up for a majority vote.

I would be a member of the west division seeing as I live in Lombard, I would say Deep Quarry Lake, Mallard lake, and possibly Pratt Wayne Woods. I like bass lake, but It would require a longer walk then some would care to make. Although I never fished it, herrick lake I've heard has good fish, and there is another lake in bartlett that is catch and release only, it is a part of Pratt Wayne FP, but I can't think of the name. Then maybe have the championship on a larger lake like one on the Fox Chain. Mops
