Got out to diversey today from 1-3pm throwing spoons, rapalas, jigs, you name it we threw it. Ended up with 1 salmon real dark and real dark red ill try posting picture soon. Caught him on a small spinner orange and silver with a treble hook//caught, pictures, and released. Lots of fish spotted and some jumping, but couldnt get another bite.

That sure is a red fish, just what kind of salmon was that?

I agree that it is probably a coho. They are in thick right now, which I understand is somewhat unusual. Unlike kings, their flesh stays nice and firm even as they darken. So, good eatin...

Yea my guess is def. a salmon but not sure what kind. I heard that maybe the fish was on its way out hence the odd dark colors, it looks like a salmon that bears eat in Alaska crazy but still a great fight headed down later in the week to get some more action.

to end the confusion that is 1000% a coho. try throwing jigs at this time of year in white and pink are usually great colors to start with.
