I didn't have school today so i figure i would go up to kenosha for some late king action or early brown action. When i got there the corner where the small pipe and the stubby is was pack.so i found and open spot and started to fish i had two rods out with king skein for the first hour or so because it was too cold for me to cast.while i was waiting for my bobbers to go down the sun came up and the fish went crazy jumping out of the water like popcorn, most if not all of the fish that were jumping where browns. so i switch over to casting because brown trout don't really eat king skein thats what i heard even though i had a few take downs with the skein, so i put on my go to lure which is a blue and sliver K.O and after about 15 minutes of casting i felt a lite tap so i set the hook and the fight was on. i landed this small old brown that gave me some very strong head shakes.

this guy was pretty beat up, i wanted to release it but i didn't get it back in the water in time so i gave it to another fishermen that was happy with it.
here is another shot of the old brown.

Brownies tend to look ugly during spawn season, but they are healthy and are fine to eat. After spawning is over they recover (for good winter and early spring fishing!).

Well done James. I will be up there on 10-27 to try my luck but right now the browns are in transition and are tuff to catch. You'll see alot of jumping and little catching but once the Kings die off watch out becasue the action is going to heat up.
