Took my NuCanoe Flint on her maiden voyage this weekend, mostly to do a sea test and dial-in this amazing fishing platform. Launched from the 31st street beach on Saturday morning and paddled the breakwall to the harbor in 2-foot swells. Not once did I feel tippy -- these NuCanoes are like floating on a piece of plywood. Took one nice brown on an orange/silver hot-n-tot trolled along the breakwall, harbor side. Returned Sunday for two hours and hit another at roughly the same spot, this time on an orange/chartreuse body bait.

2 nice fish in 4 hours total, giving both me and my smoker some much-needed early season action. I can't wait for a full season with my new Flint -- just need to get a transom trolling motor and I'm set!

Thanks Tom! They came out perfect for a change. Think I finally have my brine figured out.
