Fished this morning from 6:00 till 10:00 with my Dad. He caught 1 small muskie, 1 largemouth bass and 1 smallmouth bass. I ended up with 1 small muskie and 1 largemouth bass. Fished the exposed rocks on the south east shoreline. All fish were caught on bass pattern baby-i.

That sounds like a fun day. How big were the musky? Were the shad still active?

Both muskies were about 20" long. Also saw a few schools of shad and lots of small dead ones floating on the surface.

Thanks for the report.Good to hear some shad dying off.Lots of those 20' muskies in there.I think the Muskie fishing only gets better in future. :gpost

I was there Sunday for about an hour and a half fishing from shore. Caught one small walleye on a lipless rattler and saw some small dead shad floating around too.
