Mr.Reborn sir.......you have not had many fish-less days on those waters, a testament to the captain. Very good job.

I guess the weatherman lied about the wind again. Glad you had a good day.

I have come up short at H lately too, I have only gone from shore and best fish was a 21" drum in last 5 outings. Best lure for all species was a Cordell Super Spot in chrome, with the drum coming on a desperation blue-chrome HotnTot. I have gotten frustrated enough to consider bringing corn, but I hate driving 40m for friggin carp. I haven't even seen a legal walleye or striper from shore this summer.

I got out today also. one walleye and a dozen or so stripers. the walleye was just shy of 16in. The largest striper was right at 10 in. It was a great day to be on the water,. Everything was caught on crawlers on a harness. Good news is I had two bite offs on leaches while using a single hook harness about a half hour before I had to leave. Next time I will use a double hook harness or a stinger.

Phil, that must have been one of those 15 and 15/16ths Eyes I caught yesterday. There's only two on the north side.

Sabil weather should have fish going good for the next 4-5 days. Wish I could get out there!!!!! Seems I`m only allowed to fish lately with storms or 90+ heat.

Looks like there should have been a CTA roll call on the North side. My buddy Larry & I were in a blue Lund. Tuff day, one cigar and a bunch of 3-4" stripers. Lotsa marks & bait mixed in from 12' out to 20'. The deep water marks & bait were from 12' down to the bottom. Not too much movement tho, most were perfect arches on the graph. We were reading 82 to 84 water temps. Did anybody else see the big schools of 1 1/2" shad hatchers just off the center dike ? The gulls were diving like Pelicans. Saw a Cormorant drying it's wings atop a box car. Other than the gulls, we didn't see many fish being caught. Maybe we gotta hang loose til the fall cooldown and the bait thins out...........murph810

I`m kinda glad to hear of the shad hatch. I have been working on some things to run out there after the hatch. If things go as planned,I wont be affraid of the "hatch" anymore. Going to be on the IL first. Wont be able to get back untill after the AYA. That should be prime time for me.

Geo and I will be in my Gray Alumacraft. It has my CTA sticker on it and Getdanet II on the side. You can wave, but don't get too close. We'll be using ultra hush hush, you didn't see nuttin' fishing techniques.

Iam ok with the hatch. At least i wont have to be staring at my screen to find bait. I will just follow the birds and mix up the cranks every 20 mins.

Gonna have a rod with some blade baits handy. You can toss those things a long way.

Just wondering if the many members that fish the BigH have marine radio's, might be able to keep in touch then.
