So, here I am. Born and raised Chicagoan, been fishing the area for over 25 yrs. I've been at another site but I despise their clique-ish ways among other things. I am a political guy; a US nationalist and no friend of Da Mayor or the last 4 presidential administrations... least of all this one.

I get out fairly regularly, more often for now because of unemployment. I go all over, from the LF to Heidecke to the Fox. My best LM bass was just shy of 7lbs (quarry), best smallie ran 22" (quarry), best cat about 18lbs (Fox), best coho about 4 lbs  best trout was a 14 lb brown (both from LM).

RE the name: I use bait but also lures, I get pretty angry at those who dump on bait fishermen. It's not just one or the other, flexibility catches fish. Jeremy Wade (River Monsters) travels the world catching enormous fish on bait and it's always worked for me.

So there ya go. See ya on the water.

Welcome to the site..........hope to hear much about your fishing reports and insights into the sport.

But..........make sure you wipe your feet before entering, as most here do not like the carpet that we call home dirty.

Welcome to the site, i think you'll like what you find on Chitown.

Alway's looking for more good reports.

Where do you wet a line?

And what wsj is trying to say is we all stay away for the politics on the site, I've tried and probably hold the record for most deleted posts when I bring up the topic.... well maybe after Jay :P

We've found that it's a topic that's better to stay away from, that's what they tell me anyways

LOLz well, as long as we're upfront about it it's NP... it's when mods allow some but lock or delete others w/o a word that I get angry. Favoritism would fall under 'clique-ishness' to me. And when talking about the city or Crook County, the politics is almost impossible to avoid.

Marc, I am close to the Duper and 20 mins from the Fox so I hit the local rivers most ATM. I gave up on Deep Quarry, but I hold out hope of a decent fish from Bass Lake. I no longer bother with the Crook County preserve lakes and stick to west-end counties for small lake action and retention-ponds. When I have just a lil time to kill I'll carp fish for those river brutes, I have spots on both the Fox and Duper where the mulberry trees provide endless entertainment. My corn recipe works everywhere as well.
