Can anyone help me find a nice spot for carp fishing from the shore?

I have tried I&M canal in Lemont, Desplains river (lemont).

Does anyone know of any local ponds that have these monsters ? I am at I55 and Weber - and would want a local or somewhat local area.

Sorry, I don't have any specific spots for you, but I do know that the Dupage river has a good population of carp with a good amount in the 10lb+ range. I would do map search of the area and look for places where roads cross over the river. Then do some leg work an find out which areas are accessable with deeper water close by. It doesn't take a whole lot of depth to hold them...2 or 3 feet with some current break. Good Luck.

There are some nice slackwater spots that should hold carp in that area on the Dupage River. Might be harder to get to from shore until spring though but if you wade you can get there.
