Went fishing yesterday and decided to hit a spot that I fished on saturday for some carp at the carp derby on Gages Lake. The trick that I found out was to use no weight on the bait, which was green mulberries(I was fishing under a mulberry tree). Ended up fishing for an hour before I headed for home due to the rain around 11:00 . Ended up with four 1.5-2.9 pounders to bad I didn't realize that until it was after the carp derby:(. Ill get them next year

We used to catch them like that on The Desplaines River in Riverside as kids, them carp loved sucking the berrys off the top of the water...
