Every time I am out at LaSalle or Braidwood I see carp working in the rocks. Some so shallow their backs are out of the water and you can hear them slurping.
However, I have never seen anyone catching or targeting these fish. Has anyone had any success targeting carp in the cooling lakes.
Thanks
FisherDan

Most people hate carp and won't target them. They feel that they are a garbage fish. Many years ago I used to own a home on the Fox river. For fun, I would fish for carp. Got to tell ya, they put up one heck of a fight. I turned them loose, but they were fun to catch. If you want, go for it, you will enjoy it. Problem is, when you see them shallow like that they are mating, and probably won't hit.

More fun to go after them with a bow and arrow! IMHO
