Went out for a few hours on the DesPlaines where I-55 crosses over and the carp, buffalo and gar are spawning. It was a hell of a sight. The guy I brought with had such a good time he went straight home and bought his own complete setup. Bow, reel, arrows and all.

His wife is gonna be pissed at me....

So let me get this straight bow fishing for carp on the Des Plains river. You might want to tell your friend carp are not safe to eat. :bbq :roll:

He knows that. We don't eat them from the DesPlaines. We do eat the gar from some of the lakes we shoot on, but never anything from the rivers.

Garden or smoke. Well at least I heard smoked is good with the right cut.
