Already have a Mojo Bass, the jigging model though. Great rod in my opinion. Topped it off with the Abu Garcia Black Max bait caster. As for my "Big Purchase", hoping to acquire a membership to my Fiancee's Dad's club near Wilmington. Then I'll have a place to use my Mojo Bass! :)

Like the topic! In years past, I've bought rods, reels, premium raingear, Humminbird side-imaging ect... I'm trying to scale down my purchases and use up the stuff I have.

I don't need much in gear. I want to get another year's use on all my rods and reels. Besides, I can't carry any more in my boat. And I have so much tackle that I try not to buy stuff on a whim like in years past. Unless it is replacement or a specific color, I'm not buying much.

I do need a new cranking battery so I'm going to get a premium AGM. I somehow lost my post and butt seat last fall so I am looking to replace that. Why are those posts so expensive?

Think I'll spend to get my impeller replaced and have someone tear down and lube my most heavily used baitcasters. I just flush and oil bearings but I want a complete tear-down.

I just bought a membership to Bass and Gills but I consider that a reward for just finishing a Masters program so that doesn't count for 2011.

Considering installing a 5" Jack plate and a S/S prop on my boat. Also I think I'll add another rod/reel to my Salmon gear. Maybe a wire dipsey or a 5/8 color lead core set up.

This year Team Manipulator gets underwater transom lighting. As the mate/net man I lost 1/2 dozen nice kings to downrigger cables in the dark last year and that will not happen again. Since we are doing that the boat also gets a complete sandblast and bottom paint redo. Also getting a depth raider to replace the rarely-functioning cannon unit.

Team Simon Sez out of Diversey gets all new canvas with new structure for more headroom and isenglass all around. Its a Sea Ray 34 EC and at any 6 footer scrapes his head. What a bad design for sucha great boat. 4 of the 6 tourney crew are over 6'2" so it will be far better next year. Also the canvas was black and on a mid-summer no wind day its like an oven. Tire kicking radar systems, but likely not pulling the trigger until next year.

mister twister wave-e tail leech, 50cents, best lure I had up in wisconsin. Just annihilated every fish in every lake then lost it on a dead snapping turtle. Found it today again at the fishing swap in rolling meadows after about 6 years of searching. Cant wait to try it around here. the lure of lures.

Bought a 24VDC trolling motor for my boat. Now I need to get a pair of group 27 batteries, actually they are on order now. Gotta get enough 6 gauge wire to replace the current wires and install the battery trays and 50A breaker.
