Yes sir!
Hope to be registering that 32 this spring. Seems like a good crop of fat girls in the system as of late. The boat is still sleeping in the garage up dere. Most likely get up this weekend and the following. You gonna be at the Castle on Castle?

Probably won't go up for a while-- busy...

Do you fish off shore in Neceedah? I've always driven by but never really stopped it to check it out.

Seems funny that below the Pete and CR dams, it's tough to catch any decent size walleyes- ('course they've been taking breeders out of there for years) - yet you can catch some really good ones in other areas of the lake during the year- guess they must spawn in other areas, like the Yellow and Roche Cri ...

Greg-please don't tell me if they have a Craps table there!!!! :crazy

Never done any shore fishing. There's some hogs in the river this time of year...just gotta hunt em and get em to go
I tell myself that I'm gonna head down river and work the big lake but chicken out every year. Last year I went hauling to the end and once I sat the boat down there was a deadhead just inches below the surface. All that submerged timber gets to me.

Are you fishing south of the bridge in the town of Necedah or below the Peten in the river? Is there a launch in the Yellow River in Necedah? If so, can you go all the way down to the Rock- on the Yellow? must be tough.

Re: The deadheads- Omigosh! I’ve seen some beauties, and as you say, right beneath the surface, even in June and July. I usually take an empty Laundry degergent bottle and tie it to them if I can.

And boys- The Rainbow- OH, NO NO!

Had a friend that loves to go there too. He decided to launch his boat Thurs eve and leave it all set up at the pier with all his gear in it ready for the a.m. Figured he might as well take a quick run to the Rainbow that eve.

Did really well, up a few bills and started to go home and it was pouring out. Not wanting to get wet getting to the truck, back in he goes and loses all he won and then some.

Pissed off, he went back to camp and upon arriving, people were yelling at him “Oscar meyer, - come quick!!” Seems they had a huge torrent of rain, a big Microburst and his boat sank to the bottom. Cushions, tackle floating around, and much of the gear under water with the boat. Took six guys to drag it out.

He learned a couple of good lessons-
1) ya don’t go to the Rainbow for a pot of gold, especially on a fishing trip
2) ya don’t take all the styrofoam out of the boat to make nice little compartments for more gear-

Best wishes for big fishes,

B.

Bruce, the usual stomping grounds are above Petenwell, trying to learn that stretch best before moving to another.
Looks like there's 2 launches at the mouth of Yellow river off G and another upstream of G on the West side. That's gotta be one hell of a trek to take the River from Necedah to the big lake, more of a canoe ride than anything.
Still a good deal of ice on the main lakes believe it or not. Maybe I'll go park on a sheet and do some jigging.

That's a crazy story about the Casino. I don't intend to go there....this trip!

So....the plan for this weekend....don't leave windy with a plan.

Greg....please. Don't tell me if there's a craps table.
My name is John and I have a gambling problem. :bigyuck
