Does anyone know where I can get 3/4 ounce jigs with a hook size of around a #2 or #4. I don't know why jig makers use such huge hooks like 2/0 - 4/0 hooks on heavy jigs.

What style jigs are you looking for? I can do Erie Jigs with #2 eagle claw if thats what you want. Thats the only 3/4 oz jigs I have. Walleye jig with 5/8 also available.

Check out northland they have a few jigs with sorter and smaller sized hooks w/weight. Gumballs and Fireballs are nice eye jigs.

You can also try oddballs or knuckle heads...

Why are you looking for smaller hooks?

I have looked at the Northland jigs but again the heavier jigs 3/4 ounce or bigger come with 2/0 - 4/0 hooks. Looks like I will have to get some custom made.
