I'm not done ice fishing yet, BUT...
What's shakin on the shores of the Chain?
Rte 12 bridge has gotta be wide open, how about launches?
I'd imagine at least one walleye or three may be lurking around those pile-ons!

Water around most of the bridges is open. Marie is still is showing some ice....not walkable, not open enough to fish it. Spring lake is completely open. Petite has ice similair to Marie. I haven't been over to Channel but I assume it is much of the same.

Channel Lake is still iced with fisherman on the southwest bay and by DaddyO's.(Mentones). Still 5-6 inches of ice.

Channels with current are open. Other back channels are still frozen. Water is low. Most of the back channels are mud.

Pond, I was out on the river a couple of weeks ago. No Success. :?

The water is too low yet. Most of the spring channels that I would be fishing are mud right now. I know it's early but they need to raise the water levels. :|

Yeah, I saw that thread JD. I've been breakin' in the motor on the Fox in St. Chuck the past week or so. I was thinking about puttin' in the Chain this week, but if you think it'll be a waste of time, maybe I'll hit Shabby.

Stopped at West Marine on Sun. to look for the transom pad. They didn't have one but the Boat US in Lombard does. So, I'm gonna have to make a run over there. other than that, I'm good to go.

Channel Lake, Antioch still frozen. Ice anglers getting on at Thirsty Turtle an Daddy O's (Mentones)
6" solid??? Heresay from an angler coming off the ice. No sleds/squads on the ice though.
I suggest a pole, bucket, SSSSPUDDDDDD, and LIFE JACKET.
I saw 9 anglers on the ice today @ 5pm

NO OPEN WATER in the lake. Only by mentones channel.
Thirsty Turtle entrance the most used tonight, Mentones in the am.
Anglers from shore to halfway point all the way down to Route 12
