A great thing about the Chain is it a multi-species waterway. For the past two open-water seasons, I have been targeting largemouth bass primarily, and panfish as a back-up when I can't get bass fishing mojo working. But I know other guys fish for other species.

So I'm just curious about this: what is your first choice and second choice for species to target for open water fishing on the Chain?

Thanks,

Catfish is what I look for on the Chain. Still looking for some consistent flathead spots but have done good on bigger channels. Wish I had more time out there, only able to get out a few times a year. Second choice is what ever the kids want to go for, normally its hitting some channels up and seeing what we can do with live bait. Looking to get into Musky fishing next year.
