I know of 2! Pistakee lake, Meyers Bay. Famous Freddies...Better then the usual bar food. Then there is a Mexican Place on the point between Fox Lake and Nippersink lake.

Thanks alot Geo. Famous Freddies sounds like a great option. One more question, I need a special permit to boat on the chain right? Where do I get it and is there also a launch fee at Pistakee?

Most launch ramps sell the stickers, daily or yearly use, most launch fees are around $20, you could also go down the river and theres a great place just under the RT120 bridge, can't remember the name, but better food than freddies or the Mexican as mentioned is a favorite of mine off Fox Lake.

Try the Sand Bar on Lake Marie if in the area, always been good the few times I've eaten there.

Mexican place is called El Puerto on suicide alley Fox Lake. Outstanding views and food. Lots of carp to feed.

They just did a bar rescue on lake marie lodge on 173 and I believe they have docks on the channel to come in for lunch. As well as the thirsty turtle.

Thirsty turtle was not serving lunch last month, during the week. So, before you head up there, call and see if they are now serving.

IF possible, pick a place far from the main boat action. Depending on the day etc, if you tie up and it does get wavy your boat had a chance to get beat up. Year ago there was a place on Fox called Tigers Lair. Off the beaten path. When I tied my boat up, it did bounce around, but not all that bad.

Great advice...didnt think of that, Famous Freddies is in a large NO WAKE zone!

There used to be a place called Eagle point, I think. It was on Pistakee. We used to call it the puppet bar. Great place to stop for a beer and some fun, but the waves beat the heck out of the boats. Its gone now.

Good tip about the waves. Does the mexican place beat your boat up with the waves while being docked?
