Target green weeds adjacent to the main basin. Big jerkbaits and medium sized suckers are getting attention. This pattern should hold for the next week.
Had a mid 40 blow-up on a sucker color Suick boatside, Thursday. I got a little to happy and pulled the hooks clean out of her mouth.
Think temps were mid to upper 50's. My temp gauge went out somehow...
As lakes cool, it'll be a big sucker only bite.

Hey Everybody-

Agree with Esox totally. I was out on 10/31 from 10:30-4PM with a buddy. Water's very murky from Saturday's winds. Temps are 50-51 degrees but will be cooling with this 1" of rain coming. We didn't fish for musky- saving that for the tourney this weekend, but checked a couple spots then went after some pannies. Marked good schools in Bluff- dropped a marker, stayed over them with jigs, minnows, plain hook & minnow- Mini-Mites, Fin-S plastics etc... lost one good fish- had two other little bites- nothing else. Fished from 3-25' of water but marked most masses of fish deep. Left there and went to Channel- found bluegills- and some dandy ones too. A couple over 8" but not a lot of fish overall- cold front fishing for sure. One here- one there- one here- one there. Most on ice-jigs and a waxie under a wavebuster float. Good time- lots of fishermen out- wind died off mostly which was a blessing. Get out there and get 'em! Still some openings in the FRV musky event this weekend- get hold of me and I'll pass on details and #'s for you. Hope to see some of you out there as V and I will be fishing it. Veronica told me this morning the forecast as of 5:30 this morning is 45 and partly cloudy. We'll be bundled up but she's ready to go and I guess I'll have to show up too!

Marc-

If there's a fish near us- it'll be hers- there's usually not much question- I've resigned myself to that.

I'll be puttin' in my casts though- that you can be sure of.

Thanks for the wishes- we'll report in when it's all said and done.
