couldn't fish the big pond tuesday it was chocolate milk as far as the eye could see. couldn't stay home and get old, called up a couple fellas about 10 am(somehow turned into 2pm) and raced off to the chain to see if the crappie bite was still on. found a channel that was a little deeper and cooler than what we've been fishing and first cast bang a nice 10" black in all its spawning color glory. had Larry(Lars Q.) and Storman Norman on board. it takes awhile to get the motion of the ocean on the pattern we fish so after a little instruction and direction Lars was in the game big time. we fished the same jigs and plastics for the next 4 1/2 hrs and just slayed the big crops and gills. we were very selective on what we took nothing under 9" and nothing over 12" and no gill bigger than 8"(we only took 3 Norm likes them with his eggs) jigs we used were uv painted by Plunk in light and dark purple and bubble gum sassy shads and assorted junior tails from white to glow. again the lighter the better. Larry wanted to keep some fish he had not had any crop in a while so we told him we'd fill a bag for him, just didn't think the bag would be this big? :rotflmao :allah

we don't usually get piggish with the big crops but with 3 anglers all putting nice fish into the live wells numbers sometimes get away with you. we wound up taken 37 keepers with 3 big gills mixed in for Norms eggs :rotflmao here's a pic before we bagged them

and one of a happy crew

just a great day out there with a little rain and a bunch of laughs and another memory for the books
