Launched at Oak Point about 6pm and did some slip bobbering with small fats. (Left the worms in the truck) Also trolled with stick baits with no luck. The current is still pretty strong which make the trolling speed a big question mark!!! Marked some nice fish in 6-8 fow but they weren't interested. Guess they preferred worms. :? We then took a ride to Channel lake and fished at the rt 173 bridge. Caught 6 crappie, one nice Gill, and one nice White bass. NO Walleye!!!! Skeeters were on the attack so we left there and trolled back up the river. No Walleye!!! The exciting part of the evening came when pulling the boat out. There had to be thousands of minnows at the launch. We had a small net and got quit a few for the fish tank. Not sure what they are, I would guess there shiners. All fish were released except the white bass that is currently in my tank.

Did you guys get alot of rain up there?
I can't figure out my plan for the weekend yet....
With more current do you ever try the channel mouths or main lake points?
Petite has some really nice dips acting as current breaks, a few transition areas along the north shore also.
I'd imagine the saddle on Marie would be a great feeding flat with increased flow.
I haven't been out in over a month :(
