Hey All-
Took off out of Bob's on Catherine on Sunday 5/2 at 7 bells. Had Jim B from Schaumburg in the boat with me- an old musky nut and buddy of mine. Winds NNE at 7-10, air temp 39, water temp 51. Nice... yeah.. real nice. Nothing like being in long underwear, fleece, thinsulate gloves and a wool watch cap on the 2nd of friggin' May!

Fished the milk-run of spots on Channel, Catherine and Bluff. Saw two fish- both of which we snuck up on during a drift. One sunning itself in the shallows on Catherine, another doing the same on Channel- neither very large and both just spooky as the beejeebers when they saw the boat.

One day, it's going to warm up. Don't know when that will be exactly and I don't expect to live that long... seeing as it's been this way for about 3 months now... but it will warm up someday and someone will take advantage of it!! Side note- the pannies are not in several of the channels we've been finding them in either. Seems some predators may have found out and the lil' guys done scattered!

On again later this week somewhere- will keep ya in the know.

Tight lines-

Todd / Into The Outdoors

That day is thursday. :clap2

I am going to try to get out on Lasalle if the winds are under 50 mph.

Thanks for the report Todd. I am sure you will be into fish shortly.

LOL.... Good one Tom!!!

Yes- that day may well be Thursday. I'll be headin' north tomorrow- getting ready for the MidAm tourney on Geneva on Saturday. Do well on LaSalle on Thursday- we'll compare some notes. If you get there early- take some bass assassins and toss 'em weightless into the rocks on the south shore- it's good this time of year. Have actually caught some real nice fish right around the little covered shore promenade there. Report in when you get back and have a great time.

Thanks for the tip Todd. Looks like I am going to give it a shot with my father in law. I will post a report and hopefully some pix.
