Headed out to Lake Marie a few weekends ago for a Kids Derby that we have been attending for a few years now. Started off the morning with some hot Bass, Crappie and Gill action. We were using crawlers, minnows, spikes and Cubby mini Mites. Weigh in was at noon and all kids are winners. First they pick that largest fish (length) Those kids pick from the prizes first. There is everything from trolling motors to Bikes. No, my kids didn't get the biggest fish but we sure had a great time. P.S. Biggest Bass was 21 inches. I'm sure the little kids Dad helped some.

While giving out prizes to the winners they served us Dogs with all the fixings, Chips, Soda, a Keg and/or wine.

I think I've fished through that area before (if that's where I think it is) and didn't do as well as your kids did. Guess I need to learn how to strike a pose to call the fish in.
