Able to get out again today from 10a-noon. Fishing same spot as yesterday
the same way casting at a fast current and reeling it it with a hop.
Released a lot of white bass and kept some. Jig of choice today.

Simon, you left pretty soon after I got to the island, did you make it far to the west in the water? At the south end of the island, I found a sand shelf that allowed me to wade comfortably about 60% of the way over to the west bank and was able to cast within a few feet of it. One guy told me there's a 7-8' deep drop near that bank, so I didn't keep wading and since I could hit it with my lure that would be pointless. If I wasn't alone, I may have tried to go farther to the north toward the sweet spot at the dam, but I wasn't in a mood to push it. Thanks for the post, Fish4, glad to see someone got some action! |
