I was up to lake Marie to pick up my boat Saturday and there was water for about 10 feet and then Ice. Jd says the north river is open but levels are down and not sure about launching. I think with these colder temps at night we're going to be stuck in limbo no open water and no ice safe enough to fish. I know the Des Plaines in wilimington is open you can launch at big Basin just off of I55 and Bluff road the Bass are hitting out there now.

That guy lives in "airport bay" on the north end. He is a @#$%$# He always tries to kick us out when we fish in front of his house or set our decoys out in the bay before he gets there. One time he called the DNR and they came over only to tell him that they couldn't do anything. Then he climbed into his blind and we called the DNR and they wrote him a ticket 8) Anyway he always fishes out of the row boat...

Not sure if any of the marinas or resorts have launches open on Bluff. By now the channels on spring lake are open, you might try CJ Smiths then head north or try the launch at the Sand Bar on Lake Marie its open by now. 8)

Saturday there was about 10feet of open water along shore at the launch at the Sandbar I dont think you can make it over to the channel to get into Bluff its only about 1 to 11/2 feet deep from what I saw. I have a trailer right behind the sandbar I went up Saturday to get my boat and bring it home.

Hay guys dont forget me, I would love to find more places to fish in the area. Retired this year so plan on being out at least 4 times a week. Usually fish Petite and have some cribs gps would sure like to find some others on different lakes. I know asking for locations of cribs is like asking for your dog, but in return would be giving some of my information up.
