Although the weather was not promising and was tough to fish, the spinner boat had some success. Water temps at launch time were in the low 50's and remained that way all day. It was one of those days the the rain gear got worn out from taking it on and off. Wa launched at 7am with Greg from Lincolnwood and worked our way down the river. We hit the prime spots but things were pretty slow with only a few white bass taken. This is the biggest of 4 boated.

Marked lots of fish but even slow presentaions were only picking up light bite. We were able to pick up 3 walleye, two worth a picture.

This one was 18 inch and showed a battle scar that looked like boat prop damage. Other than that scar, a beautiful fish.

All fish were taken with 1/16 ounce jigs and small fatheads. the method was a very slow retrieve and occasional twitch while bounce the bottom. I would like to say the turbo spinners produced some fish but they didn't. Cold front conditions had the bite very light. Below is a typical largemouth from the river. For some reason the river just doesn't produce the size that can be caught on the lakes.

All in all not a bad day for the elements that had to be dealt with. Boat control was difficult at times and the rain and temperatures made for some numb fingertips.

I'd like to thank Greg for coming up and spending the day on the spinner boat. It was another great day on the water. Temps are getting right where we need them to be. Now for some stable weather please!!!
