Hi,

I bought a Water Skeeter several years ago with the intention of using it on my local retention pond - it is absolutely perfect for this pond. Unfortunately, the second time I used it on the pond, some neighbor called the cops because "Boats" aren't allowed.

I'm just looking for some other suggestions where I can use this. Dupage FP is out because they don't allow inflateables.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!

In case you're unfamiliar, this is a Water Skeeter

Those are great for floating rivers like the DuPage. You just have to have someone to pick you up and bring you back to your car when you are done. You won't be able to row it upstream.

If it has a HIN, you can use it on any body of water that allows paddling.

Nope, no HIN

It's basically a boat seat on frame. The pontoons are strapped to the frame.

This would be perfect for all the lakes at Mazonia State Fish and wildlife area. Its located about 4 miles south of Braidwood on old rte 53. This is my favorite place to fish both hard and soft water. There are 20+ strip mine lakes with a great variety of fish. Just search this site for info- there's a lot. There are even lakes you could portage into. I'll attach a map of the north and south units for you. Good Luck

Shabonna has two launches and plenty of places to launch from shore.
