Took the kayak out for a test run at McHenry dam. I did not know it was hard, I had an anchor in the front
and I could not keep it steady almost wipe out, so i removed it. Things was fine so started fishing caught a fish
but very hard to keep steady fish kept on going around the kayak, so broke the line, caught another fish
the same way just can't keep it steady plus the current does not help either. Well I guess more practice
for me and any tip would also be helpful.

I would try getting used to the yak on a small lake or pond. As far as the river goes, I have not seen it lately but I would have to imagine it is high from all the rain. Maybe wait until it is lower so the current is not quite as strong.
