I own Huminbird 110 .. portable model ... ''
Great working unit ,
No problems .. Shows depth and water Temp. some fish too.

Good enough ...
I thought about buying Eagle for 79.99 $ on sale in Dick's but I did not have time to make it portable.

I have an old garmin that I used in my canoe. The Transducer was on a suction cup attached to the square stern.
In the Kayak I plan to test a velcro stuck at or below water line behind me and the puck attached to velcro with wires around and under the seat going up to the sonar. I don't want to drill holes so this will be a challange. Goop on the inside of the kayak may not transmit water temps. Battery will suspend under the dash. Hope these ideas work? Will see. Bill

Here is how i rig my transducer. I dont use silicone goop. instead the foam keeps the tranducer in place and i pour just a little bit of water in it so i get a signal and a water temp.
