Here are a couple of recent steelhead mounts. An Arlee strain from Racine and a Skamaina from Milwaukee.

Those are the mounts that sure look like they were ready to jump off the wall at you. Great Job Tom! Very impressive as always.
Hey have you done any wood carving lately? Would love to see a pic or two of that.

With a little time and effort and practice and patience any one can teach themselves taxidermy,its the painting of the mount that measures the craft.You are an artist! Beautiful work

Here is a Kamloops strain in full spawning colors. I replaced the clipped fin that designated it as a kamloops but it makes you wonder is this is the coloration of all spawning male steelies or just the Kamloops. The orange is so bright and the fish definitely is stocky in shape.
