So I am going to have to leave the Trophy Hunting up to the Twins.

I miss bird hunting, but the boys have really taken off with their sports this year. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

That's good news for sure. Those boys will soon follow in your footsteps in search of a different type of trophy later. Enjoy while ya can Tom, they don't stay young very long.

Tom, you are not trading in nothing for what you are doing!
You should be honored for what you are doing. You are
doing what's more important in life. Those boys will be
treasure when you look back and see how you spent your time.

I wished I had that opportunity to do it again. But we cant go
back. All we can do is cheer on those that have that opportunity
at hand.

Best of luck to you, the boys and your family!

Congrats!!!!!!

Congrats, the fish and game will still be there when you return. There was a long stretch where my brothers and I were all caught up with baseball, football, wrestling, and rugby (pretty much grade school all through college). I think there were even a couple years in there where we didn't even get the boat out of the garage. Just have to find some time to hit some close to home lakes.

Congrats to Tommy and AJ. And you, too, dad. As others have said, enjoy it while you can. See ya soon.

BTW, thanks again for that venison roast; it is in the crockpot right now. I can't wait!

Thanks guys. All the credit goes to them. School, sports, musical instruments....I was never this busy as a kid.

Let me know how it turns out. A picture tells 1000 words. :D I keep wanting to take a picture of how it turns out, but we always end up just digging in. The great aroma in the house all afternoon while that cooks just drives me nuts.

Enjoy your hiatus - as Tiny stated there was a 7 year gap in our momma jamma spring crappie hunts while baseball was #1,then a decade of H.S. football and wrestling ,followed by another ten years of college football. I now fish almost every weekend with either 1-2 or 3 college grads.Tom , it goes so fast believe me!

Very cool, Tom! I'm sure you're proud dad, and should be! Following the boys around with sports (especially travel sports), can take up alot of time, but like you said.... you wouldn't want to trade those moments for anything. Congrats again!!

P.S....... I hope you wern't wearing your Babe Winkleman flannel shirt for the trophy presentation...... :P
