Since I just finished up a few winter brown recently I thought that I would share them with everyone.
Robs 35 inch Kayak brown
32" brown for a client from Pittsburg
28" brown that had a really cool kype. The kype acually comes out towards the camera and when the mouth was closed it did not fit inside.

All skin mounts although I use a method of custom molding the heads of each trout or salmon. That way the finished product looks more realistic than using the actual fish head and building up the shrunken areas.
Another benifit to using custom cast heads is that they will never blead oil like skin mount heads.
It takes me twice as long to do but well worth the effort!

Here is the first of several 20lb plus browns caught this year in late summer. A tank of a fish at only 31" long and still in summer silver colors.

Wow, great fish! If I get one I need to mount in the future, you have my business!
Tom, I was looking to have a fish, should I say, "refurbished" do you think it would be worth it? It won't be for a while, but I have a 6 pd smallmouth I caught when I was 8 years old (20 years ago) The mount still is pretty good but the color wasn't done too great and has faded a little over the years. Is that something you can do? Again, it won't be for a while but just curious. Your smallmouth on your website looks amazing and just gave me the idea. Thanks.

Awesome job as always Tom! Looking forward to bringing you several more fish. Well that is if I can find them and catch them!LOL.
I am in search of a nice brown and maybe another steelie to go with the one you have already done for me I have some good ideas for scene mounts. May have to work on building my own backdrops.

Sounds like a challege between EJ and Cory! How about a $1 discount for the winner who gets the first big brown! LOL
If I catch one first all bets are off!
Cory your wife is going to need some scuba gear to get through the living room if you add any more fish!

it will be a close race as EJ has the time to get out more often, but I won't be far behind! Gonna get a brute this year, I can feel it!
Never too many mounts Tom! Just because my wife is practically a Vegan and won't even wear animal products doesn't mean she doesn't respect the artwork that you have created for me.

I got that feeling too. Except for 2 outings in August, I haven't targeted browns. I'm starting Monday!

Just a few short weeks after Rob got the 35" Brown that starts this thread, he called me and asked if I wanted to mount another one that measured 36 inches! It was an ugly beat up spawned out male but it was a monster so I said SAVE IT!
Well here it is hopefully much more presentable than when it was caught. The head measures just shy of 10"

Perch is my favorite meal Bill!
Add some Molson Golden to the batter and I'm good.

That is a sweet base! Not to mention the awesome fish. Tom did you make that base yourself? Are those real or fake rocks?

The rocks are fake but the driftwood peices are real. I tried to make the base not to large so it would not overwelm the fish. The fish was 31" I think. I need to dial in my new camera so that the pictures come out sharper. There is so much fine detail in this fish that can't be seen because it appears blury.
