Will you be molding the beer?

With any mount, I have to say that the most important aspect has to be the paint job. This fish looks like it is in an aquarium! Bass seem to be difficult to paint, as I have seen many that don't look so good. That is one heck of a job!

I know you are looking for some species of trophy fish to make your own molds. If a fish is used for a mold, can it also be skin mounted? Or is it a one or the other deal? Just curious, thanks.

Thanks Bill.
That is an old mount.
The husband of one of my cousins did the work.
He passed away about 10 yrs ago.

Unfortunatly the fish does not survive the molding process to be in good enough condition for a skin mount later.

That is a HOG smallie! When I get a 20+ inch river smallie, he (or his likeness) is going on the wall. Same is true if I get a 24" stream brown. I love the color of the browns in my creek. I'd love to put a 24 incher with those colors on the wall. Now I know who to contact if I am ever in that situation

Beautiful work you've done there!

I'll say this about Tom's work. I hung it on the living room wall above the recliner (not the dead fish/computer room) , the wife said something the first day, I said give it a rest, and she hasn't said anything since other than positive. Miracles DO happen.

Excellent work Tom. I really like the way you set the(Red) eye, looking down and out. Nice work as usual.
