Out of our 500 +/- memberships, how many do you think regularly use / check this site - our forums? Would anyone be offended if in addition to the newsletter, we sent notices, special offers or other club stuff? Just from the club, I'm not talking about sharing our mailing list. No plans, just a thought.

I agree Rod. Although I like the idea of the monthly newsletter, we should have like group buys, etc. Sometimes just a simple email goes farther and retains a member. I really do not want to say too much as some would frown. There are tournament all acroos the lake and I would love the idea to entertain groups of guys going ogether to do other tournaments as well.

I have sent out 400 E Mails on 3 seperate occasions since Jan 1st. I am E Mailed Out. We use yahoo which is free but is a very poor and time consuming E Mail Server, Host, whatever they are. I know that E Mail Blasts are snap with CRM's like Sales Force or Exact Target or Leed Master, etc. but they cost money. I have given the Club E Mail Password out at board meetings and The Board members are welcome to read the incoming club E Mails or use the club E Mail address which includes all the E Mail Contacts to send out approved Plans, Ideas, Tournament info, Etc. I will bring this subject up at the next Board Meeting to see who would like to get involved with this idea.

As far as USPS mailed promotions, I would defer to Dan Beasley, who sends out the Hook and Line by regular mail.
