Our first club tournament for 2019 is Saturday, May 11th at Northpoint Marina. You can call in on channel 68 starting at 5:00 am to register.

Tournament boat is Grey Lion

Tournament run time is 5:30 am with lines in the water at 6:00

All boats must be back in the harbor by 1:00 P.M. and be in line for weigh in at the Salmon Unlimited Pavilion by 1:45 P.M.

We will have a barbecue following the tournament

Monitor our Twitter and Facebook account @SUIllinois for tournament weather decisions

Additional things to know: Everyone fishing needs to fill out a SU Waiver and be a member of SU Illinois. All of this can be found on our web site http://www.salmonunlimitedinc.com or you can copy and paste the links below. Click on Tournament information, then click on Salmon Unlimited club tournaments, then click on Rules, Registration or waiver

Is the club waiving waviers until the check in?
Does not appear to be any way to send them electronically.

Are waivers supposed to be signed - submitted every year or is once enough?

Signed waivers are valid for one season. A new one needs to be filled out each year.

Our first tournament for the 2019 season. We had 17 boats today and Mother Nature gave us a cold calm lake to work with. Looks like we were able to catch all of Lakers we wanted. We only had one boat catch 10 fish and a grand slam Congratulations to Lester’s Dream nice catch. Runnin’ Bare seem to run away with all the big prizes with nice 24.1 Brown Trout. Fish N Crew & Double Trouble had 20-pound kings. The fleet caught 103 fish, 7 Kings, 34 Coho, 4 Rainbows, 2 Brown Trout (target fish) & 56 Lake Trout.

The winners were:
1st Place – Lester’s Dream, Capt. Mark Boothe, 76.30 Lbs. for 241.00 Pts Grand Slam $85.00
2nd Place – Fish N Crew, Capt. Greg Williamson, 76.30 Lbs. for 176.30 Pts $51.00
3rd Place – Runnin’ Bare, Capt. Jerry Taylor, 80.00 Lbs. for 175.00 Pts $34.00

Big Fish of Tournament, 24.1 Brown, Runnin’ Bare Capt. Jerry Taylor $170.00

Big Target Fish, 24.1 Brown, Runnin’ Bare Capt. Jerry Taylor $68.00

Big 3 Tournament, 56.1 Lbs. Runnin’ Bare Capt. Jerry Taylor $300.00 Sponsored by: Thermalcraft Inc., Ron Vallas, Duck Bill Charters, Ameriplate and Leader Sales.

Small Boat under 21’, 135.8 Lbs. Green Machine Capt. John Straus $50.00 Sponsored by: Do-Jigger Fishing Team

Top Rookie Boat, none entered

Bob Conidi provided us with a warm Chile and corn bread meal. Thanks Bob

Dave,
The only issue I see, is Green Machine's (boat) is not 21' or less.

Steve Green Machine fished out of a 20.5 foot boat this weekend. His new rig was not ready for the first outing.

Are we talking about the boat or the captain? Cause if we measure the captain, he is a lot shorter in person :rotflmao
