I'm thinking we'll be seeing quite a few big fish brought to the scales this tournament!

I'm hoping the FnC can bring one in that can knock that big lake trout out of the big fish of the year spot :)

I hope the forecast is wrong the wind doesn't pick up. This will be a great outing, can't wait to see the final results as 5 teams are battling for the top 3 spots. See you all Saturday.

Our last club tournament of the year decided who the boat of the year would be, and due to a big lead they had going into the last event, Fish N Crew is our 2017 Salmon Unlimited Boat of the Year! Congratulations to everyone on that boat and especially Captain Greg Williamson, great achievement folks, well done.

August 12th delivered sporty conditions for our last tournament and the fishing was tough. Only 1 boat caught a 10 fish limit and they won the tournament. The whole fleet only caught 73 fish out of 18 boats that entered. There were 2 fish caught over 20 lbs, but the Big Fish of the Year was caught on June 10th, by Double Trouble, Captain Rob Renner. Congrats Rob!

A big thanks to Kevin Massard and the crew of Follow Me for the good eats!

I'd like to congratulate every member that participated in all six of our club tournaments, these are great events because you fun people show up, so we'll see you at our next club tournament, next May.

1st Place Doin' Fine, Captain Norb Piorek, 85.3 lbs for 210.3 Pts - $90

2nd Place Smokin' Fish, Captain Steve L'Esperance, 71 lbs for 181 Pts - $54

3rd Place Doctors Orders, Captain Jim Maechtle, 56.2 lbs for 171.2 Pts - $36

Big Fish of the Tournament, 21.8 LB King, Time Off, Captain Jim Stepp, $180

Big Target Fish = 21.8 LB King, Time Off, Captain Jim Stepp, $72

Big Fish of the Year - 23.3 LB Lake Trout, Double Trouble, Captain Rob Renner, $128

Top Rookie boat - Something Fishy, Captain Dave Konczal, 116.4 Pts

Rookie of the Year - Something Fishy, Captain Dave Konczal Congrats to Dave and his crew for the top rookie boat of the year!

So that's it for 2017 Salmon Unlimited members, it was fun.

Don't forget we have one more big money tournament that is open to all fishermen, you don't have to be an SU member, the Salmon Unlimited Open on August 26th at Northpoint Marina. You can sign up online at: http://www.salmonunlimitedinc.com/suopen

Get well Doug McCallister, we missed you buddy!

How long does it take to recover from a sex change operation anyways?

Thanks Doug, for another great year. It really has been a blast!

It was a great year fishing with some great fishermen and women. We had our toughest outing in 2 years when we needed a miracle...but we still had a blast, and Mike Graziano got his personal best King on Saturday! Congraz Mike, on entering the Tuna club with a Big Target Species winner!!

Thanks to team Follow Me for the great food that you pulled out of a hat, and thanks to everyone that chips in to make these tournaments run smoothly and be so much fun! I look forward to seeing everybody and more at the SU Open Tournament.

It was sure a fun season! I wish the fishing was a little better for this last tournament. That being said, there were a few big kings caught this weekend and we're all looking forward to the SUPA next weekend! I'm thinking there will be some monster catches brought to the scales!
